BW Converting at Tissue Summit Latin America

Over the past 20 years, there has been growing interest by the Central and South American tissue market to elevate the manufacturing process along with the performance and aesthetics of the finished product. This movement is so pronounced that it has enticed the major multinationals in the industry to set up their production sites in this part of the world. Tissue Summit Latin America in Panama City on September 4 and 5 will provide an opportunity for further advancement and partnership.

BW Converting will once again drive thought leadership at this edition of Tissue Summit, where Giacomo Bianchi, Senior Sales Executive and Product Innovation Leader, will present a new innovative tool for the field of embossing at 10:40 am on September 5 in a session titled: “Thinking of the life cycle in embossing, from idea to product: our 4 steps towards a sustainable future.”

The Latin America market has shown a strong desire to excel and a particular aptitude for experimenting with increasingly cutting-edge technologies in tissue converting and packaging. BW Converting’s answer to this demand is the creation of the Hygiene Business Segment, which includes the brands Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC), Winkler+Dünnebier (W+D), Stax Technologies and Northern Engraving and Machine, represents a solid entity with a strong track record of meeting the demands of a highly competitive market by offering state-of-the-art solutions and technologies.

The complete BW Converting Hygiene offering includes converting and packaging machinery for tissue roll and folding, as well as equipment for personal hygiene products for baby, feminine and adult care. Rounding out the lineup are machinery for producing toilet and kitchen rolls, hand towels, facial tissues, handkerchiefs, wet and dry wipes, baby/adult diapers and pants, feminine hygiene products, light incontinence products and underpads. BW Converting also develops embossing patterns and produces embossing rolls for a wide range of products.

“The three key words of this new identity to support this important market are, for us: change, cooperation and connectedness,” said Sergio Casella, BW Converting Hygiene Business Segment President. “Change in order to achieve higher and higher goals; cooperation so that our customers become strategic partners, where we move from traditional transactional and negotiating relationships to real cross-functional involvement between the parties involved; and connectedness because trust and communication are vital in a relationship that is defined as strategic, and develop and consolidate over time. Transparency and sharing of knowledge and information are essential because they are part of our mission, our work, our satisfaction.”
