Susanne Haase
Editor-in-chief
Dear ipw reader,

almost seven years ago, I had the pleasure to interview the CEO of Hengan Group, China. Back then, he told me that it was the merit of Andritz that his company had actually ventured into the formerly unknown territory of tissue making.

I guess the company has never regretted this step. And Andritz just successfully completed a total of four tissue machine start-ups planned for this year at Hengan. The Group is now running nine Andritz tissue machines – two of which are fitted with the largest steel yankees in operation worldwide.

Hengan runs models from other famous manufacturers in its tissue machine fleet as well and the outstanding cooperation with Andritz just underlines - once again - the importance of long-lasting partnerships leading to mutual trust, joint development and good business for both sides.

I trust that this will stay a good formula for the future.

Best regards

your ipw team
