Dear ipw reader,

I hope you had a good start in the New Year!

We have been busy even during the holidays to finish the Annual Outlook for the first issue of 2013 to be published next week. But it was worth it: Interesting views from all over the world allow for an engaging fly-over of the industry! Make sure to learn what the pulp & paper VIPs think and forecast and order your copy here: info@ipwonline.de.

The first days of the year were overshadowed by a sad story: UPM’s Stracel mill in France just ceased production of coated paper. I am keeping my fingers crossed that negotiations with the VPK Packaging Group/Klingele Papierwerke joint venture will bring up new perspectives for the production site soon.

I hope you will once again appreciate the latest news from this industry brought to you by ipw!

Sincerely,
