Foundation stone of Metsä Group’s bioproduct mill laid in Äänekoski, Finland
The foundation stone of Metsä Group’s bioproduct mill was laid in Äänekoski today, 12 October 2015. The event was celebrated on the construction site, which is located next to Metsä Fibre’s operative pulp mill. There were speeches from Jyrki Katainen, Vice President of the European Commission, Kari Jordan, President and CEO of Metsä Group, Matti Tiusanen, Chairman of the Äänekoski Town Council and Ari Harlamow, Shop Steward of the construction site for the bioproduct mill. › more |

Stora Enso completes the divestments of its Barcelona mill and Komárom plant
Stora Enso has completed the divestment announced on 27 July 2015 of its Barcelona mill, which produces recycled-fibre based consumer board, to the private equity fund Quantum.
