ANDRITZ to supply equipment for recycled fiber system to Sonoco-Alcore, Finland
Andritz will supply pulping and de-trashing equipment for the OCC stock preparation line at the Karhula paper mill. Start-up is scheduled for the third quarter of 2016. › more |

Valmet to supply grade conversion rebuild for Kruger Packaging in Trois-Rivières, Québec, Canada
Valmet will modernize a paper machine (PM10) at the Kruger paper mill in Trois-Rivières (Québec), Canada. Currently producing newsprint, PM10 will be rebuilt using some of the most advanced containerboard manufacturing and automation technology to produce 360,000 metric tonnes (MT) per year of 100% recycled lightweight and high strength linerboard. The rebuilt production line will start up in 2017. › more |

Kemira continues to invest in the growing market for bleaching chemicals after successful ramp-up of the new capacity in Oulu, Finland
In 2014, Kemira announced a substantial capital investment in its Oulu plant to capture the growth potential in the tight bleaching chemical market. The new hydrogen peroxide production process was successfully started during the third quarter in 2015 and the new volume has been sold out. › more |

Ziegler Papier ceasing production of fine and special papers at the Grellingen site
The company will cease production of fine and special papers at the Grellingen plant. The decision to discontinue production was taken because of persisting overcapacities, the negative exchange rate situation and the major price pressure as a result. With the Swiss National Bank decision of 15 January 2015, the situation has worsened again. › more |

UPM celebrates inaugural opening of expanded Kymi pulp mill in Kuusankoski, Finland
UPM inaugurated its newly revamped Kymi pulp mill in Kuusankoski following a EUR 160 million investment in production expansion. Finland's Prime Minister Juha Sipilä officiated the proceedings by signing the charter together with UPM President and CEO Jussi Pesonen. › more |

Stora Enso - Langerbrugge Mill, located in Gent – Belgium, has selected PMT for the rebuild of a Bel Bond Top Former in their PM#3. The PM#3, a 6,5 m wide machine producing SC paper, will be rebuilt in its Bel Bond Top Former in order to improve formation and profile stability. › more |

KPA Unicon to supply a biomass-fired boiler plant to Stora Enso sawmill in Sweden
Boiler plant will enable utilization of sawmill residue for sustainable heat production. Stora Enso Timber Ab and KPA Unicon Oy have signed a contract of a biomass-fired hot water boiler plant delivery to Stora Enso sawmill Ala in Ljusne, Sweden. The new Unicon Biograte 15 MWth boiler plant will utilize bark and wood residues from the Ala sawmill as fuel, and it will produce hot water to the sawmill´s drying kilns. › more |
