Andritz to supply world’s first fiberboard recycling line to Sonae Arauco, Portugal

International technology group Andritz has received an order to supply a dry fiberboard recycling line to Sonae Arauco’s mill in Mangualde, Portugal. The line will recycle end-of-life fiberboards back into valuable fibers as new raw material for fiberboard production. It will be the first industrial-scale fiberboard recycling line in the world. Start-up of the recycling line is scheduled for the second quarter of 2025.

Procemex to supply web monitoring and inspection system to SCA Obbola, Sweden

Procemex, a new Andritz Group member has received an order from the Swedish paper mill SCA Obbola to supply a OnePlatform Web Monitoring & Inspection System for their PM2, the world’s largest high quality kraftliner machine. PM2, which started up in November 2022, is 9.6 m wide and has a design speed of 1,400 m/min and a production capacity of 725,000 t/y. The scope of supply also includes Automatic Target Control for the machine’s winder.
