Metsä Group signs letters of intent for bioproduct mill's main equipment deliveries
Metsä Fibre signed letters of intent with Valmet Corporation and Andritz Oy to provide the main equipment deliveries for the Äänekoski bioproduct mill. If the prerequisites for the investment are met, the decision on the construction of Metsä Fibre's planned bioproduct mill in Äänekoski will be made this spring. › more |

Valmet to supply equipment for fluff conversion project at Domtar's Ashdown pulp and paper mill
Valmet has been selected by Domtar to supply the equipment and technical services to convert a paper machine from uncoated freesheet to fluff pulp at the mill located in Ashdown, Arkansas, USA. The delivery is part of Domtar's USD 160 million project to re-purpose the A64 paper machine. › more |

Felix Schoeller Group commissions a rebuild of paper machine 14 in Günzach
Scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2015, the Osnabrück-based Felix Schoeller Group is taking another step forward in the strategic growth concept it has devised for its Technocell division: the creation of additional capacity for pre-impregnated products, a key growth segment. Toscotec to supply three new Ahead-1.5M ES Ttissue machines to Vinda Group, China
Vinda Group, producer and branded provider of household paper and personal care & hygiene products in China, has placed an order with the Italian manufacturer Toscotec for the supply of three new tissue lines at its two mills in Deyang, Sichuan and Laiwu, Shandong, which are scheduled to come on stream in the last quarter of 2015. › more |

Susanne Wamsler to replace Dolf Stockhausen on Clariant Board
Dr. Dolf Stockhausen, a member of Clariant's Board of Directors since 2011, has reached the statutory maximum age for board members of 70 and will therefore resign. › more |

SolarFlow roll cover from Voith achieves top lifetime
A suction roll with a SolarFlow polyurethane cover from Voith has had its first maintenance after almost four years. The manufacturer of fine paper that owns the roll has called the running time of exactly 1,438 days between two grinding intervals a potential record-breaker. Suction rolls with other covers would often only manage a quarter of this running time. › more |

Lecta receives environmental certification
With the recently awarded OHSAS 18001 certification at its Sant Joan Les Fonts (Spain), Leitza (Spain) and Condat (France) mills, Lecta has fulfilled the commitment set forth in its most recent Environmental Report to certify all its manufacturing sites by the end of 2014. › more |

Biomass plant now operational at Delipapier Frouard, France
The overall investment for the plant was approximately 6.5 million Euros. The works are part of the BCIAT 2011 project (Biomasse Chaleur Industrie, Agriculture et Tertiaire) launched by ADEME (Agence de l’Environnement et de la Maîtrise de l’Energie) to encourage the industry to produce thermal energy using biomass. › more |
