Doubletree Paper Mills in Gila Bend, Arizona, is saving 300,000 gallons of water daily by using GE’s advanced water reuse technology. Take-Over of Renkum PM 2 signed: Successful conversion from newsprint to packaging paper
The PM 2 of Parenco in Renkum, Netherlands, was successfully started up just 14 months after contract signing. After a short optimization phase the customer signed the official take-over document. This rebuild increases the mill's capacity by approximately 385,000 metric tons annually. › more |

Valmet to rebuild Metsä Tissue's tissue machines in Raubach in Germany and Pauliström in Sweden
Metsä Tissue has selected Valmet as supplier for the upgrades of tissue machine TM3 in Raubach, Germany and the tissue machine in Pauliström, Sweden. The value of the orders will not be disclosed. Earlier this year Metsä Tissue started up its tissue machine TM1 in Raubach, Germany after Valmet's extensive rebuild of the wet section, where a new OptiFlo II TIS headbox and an Advantage ViscoNip press were installed. The target of this rebuild was to enhance the product qualities as well as energy efficiency and process performance in a sustainable way. › more |

Georgia-Pacific Completes $40 Million Expansion at Gurdon, Arkansas, Lumber Facility
In a celebration with community leaders, Georgia-Pacific recently marked the completion of an approximately $40 million expansion at its Gurdon, Arkansas, lumber operations. The project expands the production capacity of the lumber mill by approximately 60 percent. Positioning the facility for long-term success, the expansion includes the installation of a new continuous dry kiln, a state-of-the-art planer mill, as well as related infrastructure improvements. › more |

Valmet and Zibo Green Energy New Energy Co., Ltd. have signed a contract regarding a delivery of a SRF (solid recovered fuel) -fired boiler plant to Zibo Green Energy's power plant in the city of Zibo located in the Shandong province in China.
