Valmet launches world's first application for monitoring filter cloth performance
Valmet launched its newest Industrial Internet application at the FILTECH exhibition in Cologne, Germany on October 11, 2016. The application is used for monitoring the performance of filter cloth in filter presses. The application has been piloted in customer filtration processes with good results, and the first customer orders have been received with implementation still in 2016. › more |

SOFIDEL TO START UP TWO NEW VALMET ADVANTAGE NTT 200 MACHINES
The Advantage NTT 200 machine produced by Valmet, is designed to manufacture both conventional tissue as well as textured paper. Metsä Group’s sawmills in Finland to be integrated into Metsä Fibre
On 29 June 2016, Metsä Group announced its plan to integrate its sawmills in Finland into the Group’s Pulp Industry Metsä Fibre through a group internal transaction. The transfer will take place on 1 November 2016. Jani Riissanen has been appointed SVP Sawmill business and a member of Metsä Fibre’s Management Group as of 1 November 2016. › more |

Södra’s pulp mill in Värö now among the largest in the world
The equipment is in place and production has now commenced. Södra’s new pulp mill in Värö was officially inaugurated on Friday 30 September. "We are delighted to announce that production is under way.
