Andritz to supply tissue plant to Astrabel, Croatia
International technology Group Andritz has received an order from Astrabel d.o.o. to supply a tissue plant for cost-efficient production of high-quality grades to its mill in Belišce, Croatia. Start-up is planned for 2023. The turn-key project includes stock preparation, tissue machine with air systems and rewinder, complete electrification and automation, and pumps. › more |

Huhtamaki partners with RiverRecycle and VTT
Finding new ways to address our environmental challenges is reliant on our ability to foster innovation to find ways of driving systemic change. Stora Enso completes the union negotiations in Kvarnsveden
Stora Enso has completed the union negotiations regarding the closure of pulp and paper production at Kvarnsveden. A total of 340 people will be permanently laid off. Some 25% of the redundancies can be managed through pension arrangements, and 100 people have already found new jobs within Stora Enso or with an external employer. The redundancies will mostly take effect in November. › more |

Valmet to supply a multifuel boiler to Kipaş Kağit
Valmet will supply a multifuel power boiler and auxiliary process equipment to Kipas Kagit Sanayi Isletmeleri A.S.’s paper mill in Kahramanmaras, Turkey. The new boiler will improve the reliability of the paper mill’s steam and electricity supply. Additionally, its steam production capacity will be sufficient for the mill’s future paper machine PM 4. › more |

In response to changing market demand, Shandong Huatai Paper decided to rebuild and modernize PM 11 in order to progressively convert newsprint production to high-quality graphic paper. The paper producer selected the full-line supplier Voith as a suitable partner. › more |

Valmet to deliver key pulp technology to Nine Dragons’ Beihai mill
Valmet has received several pulp technology orders from Nine Dragons for their pulp, paper and board greenfield project in Beihai city, Guangxi autonomous region, in China. The order consists of two complete fiberlines, two bleached chemi thermo mechanical pulp (BCTMP) lines, a recovery boiler and DeNOx scrubbers. The deliveries will be done in phases and the start-ups are scheduled for 2023. › more |

Valmet’s climate program targets approved by the Science Based Targets initiative
Valmet introduced its climate program – Forward to a carbon neutral future – in March 2021 with CO2 emission reduction targets for its entire value chain. Now Valmet has got its climate program targets approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This approval means that Valmet´s climate targets support the Paris Climate Agreement’s goal to limit global warming to 1.5°C and are based on the latest climate science. › more |
